I got this for my birthday.
Not perfume. No jewelry. Not a new outfit.
And I don't care.
Yeah, I'm a Mom. It's not all about me anymore.
This thing totally rocks. She loves it. She lays under it, squeaking and waving her arms and looking at herself in the mirror until she passes out from exhaustion.
I sit nearby, eating chocolate, reading blogs, folding diapers, watching TV, and not trying to soothe a baby who's crying and fussing for no apparent reason.
At least today. (I make no promises about tomorrow.)
Oh, and did I tell you the best part? The mat is machine washable (for those spit up stains. She's already christened it. Twice.)
PS: Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

Max has the same one! It's great because you can change out the toys. I bought an extra set of rings and switch in his sassy toys and infantino toys as well.
This thing allows me to shower, knit, clean up, eat and whatever else. Max loves his. Now he can sort sit up, and he loves it even more.
Hope you had a lovely birthday. I was thinking about you. Let's catch up on Skype this weekend, maybe?
Miss you!
A gift (for Rowan) that lets you relax with some chocolate and keep your sanity for a little while? Now THAT's a great birthday gift!
Jenn and Kristi had the same one for their kids and they all loved to lay there and watch everything. Fun to see them kick their feet and swing their arms from the excitement of seeing all the bright colors and such....B PS...Jenn would have loved to have seen the baby while you were in FArgo....she's in the book next time you go!
Makes you want to say a great big THANK YOU to the inventor-mom doesn't it? BTW, I think the inventor had to have been a mom - a dad would never have thought about a washable mat and being able to change out the toys!
