Anya Genevieve

Anya Genevieve, originally uploaded by MrsBinParis.

Birthday May 13, 2010, 2:08 AM.

7 lbs. 14 oz., 20.5 inches long.

A beautiful gift from God.

Perfect, beautiful, calm and sweet. Her big sister adores her! Her dad is already suffering from the sleep deprivation. (Wimp. Ha.) He's going to get her sis and dog today, and take them home for one night while I stay in the hospital with the baby. Before she was born, he was incensed by the idea that they might kick him out of our room at night. (Officially, dads are supposed to leave at 9, but it's not enforced.) Today, his tune has changed and he wants to sleep in his own bed.

She and I will come home tomorrow. Until then, I'm taking advantage of having a full staff, personal chef, and free Wifi. And complete control of the thermostat. (Plastic beds are hot.)

Welcome to the world, Baby Girl. We are so thrilled you've joined us. Thank God that you are healthy and perfect--we are so very blessed.

All your guardian angels have been watching over her for you, she is perfect. Wish I could come down to sniff her head, read a book to Rowan and let you nap... say about 3 weeks from now when you really need the help.

Congratulations!Sweet little girl!
I just read yourt last post and, I know exactly how you felt. When I had my second child last year I got quite depressed and anxious and just plain cranky at the end of my pregnancy and, really, the first six weeks after Marin was born were soooo much better and happier and easier than the last six weeks of being pregnant. People thought I was crazy for saying so, but it was my experience. So anyway, rest up and enjoy your family!!!

Congratulations on your wonderful addition!

From the ELCA Book of worship:

O Lord our God, creator of all that exists, we thank you for watching new life begin and for the privilege of sharing with you in your continuing creation. In your mercy grant that these blessings may continue to us and even to our children's children, that generations yet unborn may bless your holy name; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

And will you pronounce her middle name in the French style? She's the patron saint of Paris, as I know YOU know! She's just beautiful and I'm so happy for all of you that things went so well. Hope Dr. B likes being surrounded by three beautiful women... lucky man!
